Privacy policy
doodle-monster makes free doodle explainer videos. We don't sell anything, we don't run ads on this website, and we don't ask you for personal information. This page explains the little data that is involved.
This website
- We don't use accounts, forms, analytics or tracking cookies.
- If you pick light or dark mode, your choice is saved in your own browser (local storage). It never leaves your device.
- Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to run and protect the site.
- The intro video is embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When you play it, YouTube handles that data under the Google Privacy Policy.
Our publishing tools and the YouTube API
doodle-monster uses YouTube API Services, through an app we built only for ourselves, to upload and schedule videos on our own YouTube channel. The only Google account that signs in to it is the channel owner's. The app:
- asks for permission to upload videos to that channel and to read that channel's video details, so it can check each upload was scheduled correctly;
- doesn't access, collect or store data about viewers or anyone else's account;
- stores its sign-in token privately in our own build environment, never shares it with anyone, and never sells or transfers any Google user data.
By using YouTube, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google handles your data under the Google Privacy Policy. The channel owner can revoke our app's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Social platforms
When you watch or comment on our videos on YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn or X, that platform's own privacy policy applies. We only see what those platforms show every channel owner, such as public comments and total view counts.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Questions? Message us on YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn or X.
